Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") governs how Investor Sam Tools collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our website and services.

Effective Date: October 12, 2026

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data on our servers. Our financial calculators run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not create an account for you, keep your inputs in a database on our servers, or sell your information to third parties.

We do not require or maintain on our servers:

  • User accounts or logins
  • Email addresses or contact information
  • A server-side record of the figures you enter
  • Payment information

To make the tools more convenient, some of them remember a few of your figures in your own browser using its local storage, so you don't have to re-enter them each visit. Depending on which tools you use, this can include:

  • Profile memory — a handful of figures such as your age, income, or net worth, kept for up to 7 days, after which it expires and the tools stop using it.
  • Saved snapshots — named copies of a calculation, and only the ones you choose to save (up to 5 per tool).
  • Streaks and saved highlights — light activity history that powers small on-page features.

This information stays in your own browser and is never uploaded to our servers. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data, and the profile memory expires on its own after 7 days, after which the tools no longer use it.

The one time your figures leave your browser is when a tool runs its AI analysis: the numbers you entered are sent to our AI provider to generate the written explanation you see. That request is used only to produce your analysis — it is not stored in a database or sold. See "Third-Party Services" below.

Cookies and Tracking

To provide a better experience, our site uses the following tracking technologies:

  • Google AdSense cookies: Google uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads tailored to your browsing history. See "Google AdSense" section below for opt-out options.
  • Google Analytics (GA4): Collects anonymized usage data (page views, device type, general location) to help us understand how visitors use our site.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: Counts page views and measures how fast pages load, without cookies. Cloudflare states that it does not collect or use visitors' personal data.
  • Skimlinks: Tracks affiliate link clicks on product recommendations to generate revenue that supports our free tools.
